NW 185th in Washington County, Oregon is where Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Aloha meet. Once a rural road, it's now a busy commercial street filled with big box stores, corporate chains, and small business. Along its path, 185th morphs from rural to commercial to suburban and then back to quiet park-like neighborhoods. New and old collide, with remants of the past making do of its future.Â
With Portland's gentrification, 185th is taking on a bit of an urban feel. Outward growth continues to mesh with suburban, bringing an increased range of diversity and intraday activity.
Most photographs are digital, with several being film. Candid street photography of people is for the purposes of documentary work.
